Music: Voices

Hear how the voices move.

Voices loads a curated library of chorales and plays them — voice by voice. Students can isolate and recombine each line, follow the score with a live cursor, and ask a score-grounded assistant about the theory underneath. The listening and the thinking stay with the student; AI sits in the second lane.

What students can do

• Voice-by-voice listening — per-voice volume and pan, isolate any combination of voices to notice how the lines connect.
• Follow the score — a moving cursor travels the grand staff beat by beat, with auto-scroll, a scrubber to jump anywhere in the piece, and a 40–160 bpm tempo control.
• Choose the sound — per-voice instruments from a shared sample library.
• Ask the assistant — a chat that has actually read the score: it knows the key, the voicing at every beat, and the harmony underneath, so answers are grounded in the music on screen rather than generic theory.

Teacher quiz mode

With a coach PIN, a teacher can hide a voice over a chosen measure range. The hidden voice disappears from the notation but stays audible — ears have to find it. The quiz applies to every student on the same access code, and the student's chat locks while a quiz is active so the assistant can't reveal the answer.

Collections and access

Each access code maps to a curated collection — a ladder of chorales chosen for an institution's levels and curriculum. Institutions can also bring their own repertoire as MusicXML.

As everywhere in the suite: nothing is graded, nothing is recorded against a student, and the assistant never does the listening for you.
